Offering a different bed and breakfast experience, the West Usk Lighthouse stands on the Welsh shore of the Severn estuary, just 11 miles east of Cardiff and less than 5 miles from Newport. Each of the en-suite bedrooms is wedge-shaped, being built around a central spiral staircase, in a former Admiralty lighthouse. Access is via a private unmade road leading off the B4239 road, and there is ample private parking on site. The lighthouse offers an interesting range of optional extras and is licenced for civil ceremonies.
